History

A rich and unique entrepreneurial legacy

Commissioned by the children and written by Luca Masia to tell the story of both the man and the entrepreneur, “Mr. Chicco. The extraordinary life of an ordinary man” was published in 2011.

From these pages emerge the dedication, intuition, and perseverance of a man of humble origins who, during the post-war recovery, was able to build a multinational company with an Italian heart.

Cavaliere del Lavoro Pietro Catelli (1920–2006) founded the Artsana Group in Como in 1946. The company quickly became a benchmark for families, establishing itself as a leader in the childcare and health sectors.

His children inherited the company in 2006 and oversaw the Group during the process of professionalizing management and transferring control to a leading private equity fund, which has guided its growth since 2016.

On Saturday 16 July 2022, on the occasion of the XXIV session of “Senato & Cultura,” Francesca on behalf of the Catelli Family, the Artsana Group and InvestIndustrial accepted from the President of the Senate the award which recognizes Italian companies of excellence that have successfully exported our entrepreneurial culture, becoming models of innovation and creativity around the world. Francesca chose to dedicate the award to the employees and former employees of the Group, “who made Artsana what it is.”

What we do

FPS – an acronym combining Francesca’s name with those of her two children – is a dedicated family office which provides a range of professional services to manage the family’s assets and support the family’s governance and purpose.

The scarab beetle was chosen as FPS’s symbol because, since antiquity, it has represented rebirth and been a bearer of abundance. Since FPS was created to give voice to new entrepreneurial and human projects, we like that it carries auspicious meaning.
